Capcom’s Resident Evil Racist?
Let me just go ahead and say “I think not.” I’ve heard rumors that the NAACP is very upset by Resident Evil 5 because it takes place in Africa, making Capcom racist. Well I would like to point out that this is the very first time I’ve heard complaints about a Resident Evil game, especially because of Capcom being “racist.”
But did you see Caucasians complain about the first 3 Resident Evils? Did you see Spaniards complain about Resident Evil 4? No. Ok then.
I find it very ridiculous. I could go on and on about how stupid this is. Why, when it comes to “Blacks” & “Whites” must there always be a constant battle?
I’d also like to say that if ANYONE says Capcom is racist, they’ve NEVER played the games before. There’s just no possible way they could have. OTHERWISE, they’d KNOW that Capcom and/or the Resident Evil series has NEVER been racist! Only ignorant people trying to ruin good fun and cause drama would say something like that.
Also I’ve heard that people think kids can buy this game. NO, they CANNOT. HELLO people! It’s rated M for mature for VIOLENCE AND GORE and sometimes language. You have to be 17 years or older to purchase this game. The only reason kids play it is because their relatives or friends.
I, Spaulding, will say that I’ve played the ENTIRE Resident Evil series since I was SIX YEARS OLD. Yes, that’s quite a young age, and shocking probably (to some of you) but I am far from racist and FAR from violent. Which goes to show video games do NOT teach either. It all depends on the parents and how well they teach their children the difference between reality and fiction. Anyway, here’s Boomer again.
How dare they make a zombie game take place in America. Darn Capcom. [sarcasm] hehe
I would just like to post some videos of the previous video games, showing you that Capcom is NOT racist, in case you still believe they are even after reading this post.
There you have it. Resident Evil games have taken place in America [until RE4/Umbrella Chronicles], Spain, Russia and now in Africa. We rest our case.

I agree wholeheartedly. Of course I am your mother so I know that you were not only raised NON racist, but also know the difference between reality and fantasy. I mean, come on, you’ve been watching zombie movies for ages and weren’t scared one bit. And at least one of you can do zombie makeup just as good as I can.
Hi Ladies:
Great site! AND I completely agree with your assessment, even though I have not seen the movie or played the video games. Seems like they always have to throw that issue into the mix and stir up controversy. Must be a slow day at the ranch….
